Gary Ó Nualláin
Gary Ó Nualláin started acting at 17. Not long afterwards, RTÉ soap FAIR CITY called him for an audition. He got the part, and plays the role of angsty foster child, Philip O'Connor. He has been acting professionally ever since. In 2012, Gary left his role in FAIR CITY to focus on his studies. Upon completion of his degree, he reprised the role of Philip O'Connor once again.
Gary made his feature film debut in the romcom THE FOOD GUIDE TO LOVE directed by the husband and wife team of Dominic Harari, and Teresa Pelegri. He continues to play Philip O'Connor in RTE's prime-time soap FAIR CITY and was also cast in Gerard Barrett's critically acclaimed sophomore release GLASSLAND.
Gary is a fluent Irish speaker, with an enormous passion for the Irish language. He puts this to good use in his work with Macalla who produce Irish Language cartoons for children.
Gary is also a passionate musician and social commentator. Coming through a background of Irish traditional music, and céilí bands, his compositions have an unmistakably Irish feel. In 2015 he completed a BA in Commercial Modern Music. He fuses his trad background with his indie influences, to create a beautiful blend of Celtic Indie music.
