Kristin L. Schoenback
Kristin L. Schoenback is a stage director, receiving her Masters of Fine Arts in the professional directing training program at Illinois State University in 2019. She is also the founder of Cats Cradle Theatre in Chicago, a company interested in seeking new perspectives, fostering dialogue, and inciting change. She has directed such works as Ellen McLaughlin's Oedipus, Mr. Burns, a post-electric play, and most recently The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Her interest in expanding the borders of theatre has led her to work intimately with the Illinois Shakespeare Festival where she has assisted on several productions in addition to conceiving the programming for educational outreach. She teaches, adapts, and directs for their Youth Artist Camp and touring company - taking Shakespeare to schools, community centers and local prisons. She holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in theatre from Concordia University, Chicago, and is an Associate Member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Union.
