Kurt Kanazawa
Kurt is a Los Angeles native. He studied at The Juilliard School, and lived in Italy for several years, where he starred in the Italian drama series, "Provaci Ancora Prof!" Since returning to the US, he has starred as Tad on "Grey's Anatomy," Stanley Hayami in "A Life in Pieces: the Diary and Letters of Stanley Hayami" (Tribeca Festival '21; Cannes; BFI; Hawai'i), and Alan in the upcoming feature film "No-No Girl," alongside an all Japanese American cast. He is both Japanese American (4th generation) and Filipino American (3rd generation), and is fluent in Italian, Japanese, French, and Spanish. Both of his parents were born in Hawai'i, where he was also partly raised. Kurt is a graduate of Columbia University (BA Liberal Arts, Visual Arts concentration), UCLA, and the Manhattan School of Music, where he was the notable recipient of the President's Award for Voice. Formerly a professional opera singer, he has worked in China, France, Italy, and across the United States, including at the Met Opera, Lincoln Center, and with the NY City Opera, and was featured in the New York Times, Time Magazine, and Opera News.
