Kya Haywood
Kya Haywood was born in Thomaston, Georgia USA. Kya is the youngest of 4 sons born to Keith & Heather Haywood. His career was off to a great start upon booking his first print job at 1 day old for Upson regional medical center where he was born, his image can still be seen on their website today.
Beginning his acting career at the early age of 6, the now 10-year-old Middle, Georgia actor's career includes a recent supporting role in the film, The Ivy League (2011), as well as a feature role in the Lions Gate film, The Way Home (2010), which starred Dean Cain (Lois and Clark) and Brett Rice (Forrest Gump). Even with his stellar career thus far, Haywood's big break thus far is being cast in the Warner Brothers film, Dogfight his first major film.
He auditioned for one of the main characters in Dogfight and director, Jay Roach and the rest of the crew were amazed by his extraordinary talent. Haywood was cast, and stars in the movie as Dylan Huggins, alongside major Hollywood stars Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell and Dylan McDermott. The comedy features Haywood as Dylan one of the Twin sons of Marty (Zach Galifianakis) and Mitzi (Sarah Baker) who are delighted to learn their daddy is running for office.
Before his debut into the cinematic world, Kya did his own acting around his house. He was very active for his age and often put on improv shows for his family. You can also catch Kya live on the runway with the Georgia Bridal show where he is a 4 year veteran of the show.
Some of Kya's other skills include improvisation, character voices, stand up comedy, illustration, and playing sports and riding bikes with his brothers.
