R Scott Hoffman
R Scott Hoffman "Scott" was born March 16, 1957 in Salisbury, NC to C A Hoffman, Sr and Lillie Mae Hardiman Hoffman. As a child, Scott excelled in sports and academics. He attended Wake Forest University and graduated with honors from Appalachian State University with honors with a BSBA in accounting. While in college he played football and rugby and was also a professional ski instructor. Scott is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA retired), a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and held investment securities licenses series 3, 7, 9, 10, 63 and 65. He enjoyed a successful 35 year career as an executive in the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch, Smith Barney and J P Morgan.
Upon retiring from the financial services industry, Scott moved to Hollywood to be near his two daughters. Once in Hollywood, Scott was continuously encouraged by members of the entertainment industry to act. He somewhat reluctantly went on an audition and booked the job. He booked his second audition and once on set, discovered his love and passion for performing. In just his first three years he has booked leads in a feature film (The Oval), TV shows (People Magazine Investigates and Twisted Love), several short films and recurred on a top ranked cable TV show that airs on the BET (The Family Business).
