Mabel Thomas
Mabel Thomas is an actor, writer and bread enthusiast. They trained at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on the BA Acting program and have since worked in both the US and the UK. As a writer/performer, Mabel's debut Solo-Show SUGAR won multiple awards (2022 pick of the fringe, EdFringe Review editor's selection and Top Selection from BingeFringe magazine) as well as 5 star reviews from Deadline News, Three Weeks Edinburgh, Voice Magazine, Lost in Theatreland and BingeFringe Magazine. SUGAR transferred to London in September 2023 and has continued to receive fantastic audience feedback as well as critical praise. On screen Mabel has been decapitated, their throat was slit, and a demonic clown bit their eye out.

She has played the role of a lady constable in a Hindi independent feature film "Sab Mile Hua Hai"- by Prashant Jade. Her recent English language festival film is called "Decay" , in which she assays the role of a physical abuse victim.

Hi my name is Mabul Marulanda Montoya and film, television and media are my passion. I cannot imagine my life living without creating stories, editing videos, filming places and taking photos. I have been learning everyday of my life how to improve my creativity and imagination by practicing a myriad of techniques while editing projects for my friends, filming stories for my classes assignments, and documenting incredible topics. I have been experiencing the excitement of being in front of a camera as an actor and the responsibility of being behind the camera as a creator of many projects which I had produced, wrote, filmed, and directed. I finished my associate degree in theater arts. Furthermore, I transferred to a university to the program of Television, Film and Media Studies. While attending California State University Los Angeles I directed eight films: Something is Wrong (2012), Illusion (2014), The Palace of Versailles and Notre Dame (2015), Louvre Museum (2015), Japan Adventure (2015) The Colorblind Painter (2017), and Soledad (2018).
