Guyanese-born filmmaker and actor Ryan Singh's mission is to create diverse, inclusive stories for all audiences. He has worked on shows for NBC, FOX, CBS, Amazon, Apple, Hulu, Disney, Rogers, Bell Media, Planet Africa, as well as notable channels across the Caribbean. His recent appearances include Entertainment Tonight Canada, and Global News. Ryan's acting credits include THE EXPANSE (Syfy, Amazon Prime Video), DESIGNATED SURVIVOR (ABC, Netflix), KIM'S CONVENIENCE (CBC, Netflix), and Alexander Payne's DOWNSIZING (Matt Damon). As a filmmaker, Ryan captured behind-the scenes on the Oscar-nominated THE BREADWINNER, directed by Nora Twomey and executive produced by Angelina Jolie. Ryan's other projects are screening globally at film festivals in 2021, including a documentary MEMENTO: A SOUTH AFRICAN ARTVENTURE and sci-fi short H.E.N.R.I. which he co-wrote and co-produced with his twin children, and produced with a crew that was 80% BIPOC and 50/50 female. He has received funding from Telefilm Canada to develop new projects. Ryan is a full member of ACTRA, Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA), and IATSE 873 and 411, as well as Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television and DOC Canada. In 2020 he participated in the BIPOC Children's TV Writing Boot Camp where he was mentored by several industry professionals from Nelvana, Disney, Netflix, Corus, CBS, NBC and started development on two television series.

Ryan was born during a mid-Spring flash blizzard in New York City. His mother, casting director, Mary Jo Slater got him his start in commercials, movies and TV. In the late eighties, his brother Christian's fame was on the rise, so the family moved to Los Angeles. Ryan starred in many movies during the 1990s and attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Ryan quit acting at 19 to focus on his studies. He graduated university in San Francisco since 2008 with a degree in Japanese since and has spent a lot of time in Japan, Guam and various other worldly locations. In Japan, he was able to book TV commercials back to back, even singing in Japanese. Since returning to the States, Ryan has worked as a film distributor to a Japanese production company as well as a casting assistant and associate to his mother but has begun his official return to the theatrical arts.
